Moggs Hotel - new music from UFO's Phill Mogg

Rock icon Phil Mogg, best known as the vocalist of UFO, has returned to the music scene with a new band, Moggs Motel. The band has signed with SPV/Steamhammer and is set to release their self-titled debut album in September 2024.

Mogg, who briefly stepped away from music after UFO’s disbandment and health issues, has joined forces with Tony Newton and Neil Carter, both former touring partners of UFO. The album, recorded at Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris’s studio, also features contributions from Joe Lazarus and Tommy Gentry.

Two singles, “Apple Pie” and “Sunny Side of Heaven,” have been released ahead of the album’s full release. The twelve-track album showcases Mogg’s signature vocals and songwriting style, proving that the rock legend has not lost his touch.

This new project marks a new chapter for Mogg, who confirmed in a recent interview that UFO has officially come to an end. The band’s farewell tour was canceled due to Mogg’s heart attack in 2022.

Moggs Motel’s debut album promises a return to form for Mogg and a treat for fans of classic rock. With a combination of familiar faces and fresh talent, the band is poised to make a significant impact on the music scene.
