The Ramen Dog: 1950 Originals Limited Edition Hot Dog

If you are an adverturous foodie, you’ll love the Ramen Dog!
When it comes to re-imagining comfort food, North Jersey has a new champion: 1950 Originals.
Known for its creative takes on hot dogs, burgers, and fries, this contemporary eatery has made waves since its debut, and now it’s not just its menu that’s expanding.
Recently 1950 Originals opened its second location at 13 Elm Street in Westfield, replacing the former Old Havana restaurant.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, the cult-favorite Ramen Resolution Dog is back for the month of January, promising to thrill adventurous foodies—and maybe convert a few skeptics.
But hurry! January is almost over!
The Ramen Resolution Dog: A Cult Favorite
The Ramen Dog, affectionately known as the “Ramen Resolution Dog,” is no ordinary hot dog.
It’s a bold, unapologetic creation featuring a juicy frank topped with stir-fried ramen noodles, a creamy house-made miso cheese sauce, furikake seasoning, scallions, and a perfectly soy-marinated egg.
“It’s so good, it’ll make you break your New Year’s Resolution,” says creator Danny Fabian.
While that might seem like a lofty claim, it’s not entirely far-fetched. Statistically, two-thirds of people abandon their New Year’s fitness goals by mid-January—so why not skip the guilt and indulge?
Last year, the Ramen Dog lit up social media, with posts and videos dividing the internet into two camps: the curious foodies and the skeptics.
One Instagram user called it “disgusting,” while others couldn’t wait to take a bite. Love it or hate it, the Ramen Dog knows how to get people talking—and eating.
More Than Just the Ramen Dog – Tons of Delicious Hot Dogs
While the Ramen Dog steals the spotlight in January, 1950 Originals is no one-trick pony.
The eatery has gained a devoted following for its innovative and downright daring menu.
Creative highlights include:
• Truffle French Dip Burger – A decadent twist on the classic French dip.
• Candy Bacon Peanut Butter Dog – Sweet and savory collide in this adventurous dish.
• Hot Honey Pimento Cheese Dog – A spicy, cheesy creation with a Southern flair.
• Street Cart Dog – A nod to NYC’s iconic hot dog culture.
• Loaded Crab Rangoon Fries – Crispy fries topped with all the flavors of a classic crab rangoon.
• Loaded Pimento Cheese Fries – Comfort food perfection with a cheesy kick.

A Great New Jersey Hot Dog Spot
Founded by Daniel DeMiglio, 1950 Originals debuted its first location in Westwood, where it quickly became a hotspot for comfort food with a creative twist.
Now, the eatery is bringing its signature flair to Union County with the opening of its Westfield location.
“We started in Bergen County, and now we’re in Union County, where people are embracing the authenticity of what we do,” DeMiglio said.
