LA Guns – A Legacy of Hard Rock

LA Guns’ journey has been anything but ordinary.

After forming around 1983, their debut album in 1988 quickly made waves, but it was Cocked & Loaded (1989) that solidified their place in rock history with “The Ballad of Jayne.”

Hollywood Vampires (1991) and Vicious Circle (1994) featured both a harder and commercial side at the same time (“Over the Edge,” “Kiss My Love Goodbye,”Face Down,” “Long Time Dead“- check ’em all out and you’ll see what we mean), while the reunion album Man in the Moon (2001) proved the band still had the fire.

Despite Tracii Guns’ departure in the early 2000s, the band released Waking the Dead in 2002, an album widely regarded as one of their most underrated gems.

Guns explored new musical territory during his time away, forming Tracii Guns’ League of Gentlemen and finding success with the video for “The Sound,” a track first recorded as a demo with Marty Casey.

“The Sound” video has earned over 200,000 views. Not bad for a song that probably was next played on mainstream radio.

A Thriving Reunion – Who Knew?

When Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis reunited in 2016, fans were treated to a renewed synergy that’s been driving the band forward ever since.

Albums like The Missing Peace (2017), The Devil You Know (2019), and Black Diamonds (2023) have kept their output consistent, earning praise for maintaining their signature sound while still exploring fresh ideas.

What’s Next for LA Guns?

2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for LA Guns. In other words – business as usual.

The upcoming Leopard Skin album promises to be another powerful addition to their discography (at least we hope), and the ‘Lucky MF’r Tour’ will be a celebration of everything fans love about the band.
